This versatile, rugged,
cost-effective terminal is designed to interface with ticket, tape and
label printers or remote displays, solid state relays, or host computers
to meet a wide range of scale data collection and control
requirements. Input data from vehicle scales, tank scales, industrial
scales, counting scales, and balances all interface with the DT210EW data
terminal. The solid-state Model DT210EW fits important applications in
transportation, agriculture, mining, construction, material handling,
packaging and manufacturing. State-of-the-art technology
incorporates an alphanumeric keyboard and dual vacuum fluorescent displays
to facilitate data entries and operator prompting. Cutoff weights or
batching formulas may be stored in memory and used to control valves,
dropping measured amounts of product in jog or fast feed modes. The
DT210EW may be used in counting and weighing applications.
In the trucking industry, the DT210EW will store tare weights
for each vehicle, and to expedite throughput, customer names and
numbers, rates, shrinkage factors, and taxes may all be stored in
memory to insure rapid, error tree operation. Password protection
provides security against unauthorized access to data or tampering.
The solid, stainless steel enclosure is engineered for rough environments.
The dome switch design of the keyboard provides better tactile feedback
than membrane switches, and is immune to dust and liquid spills. Software
customization is available to fit specific applications or interface
requirements.
FEATURES
A user configurable three ID software structure enables user
definition of labels, rates, and factors.
Summary reporting of totals by ID is available as well as
detailed transaction reporting. These reports may be printed by an
adjacent printer, transmitted to a host computer or may be requested by a
remote PC.
Password protection is user selectable to prevent unauthorized
access or data tampering.
The page printer enables the user to format tickets pages from
the keyboard.
Standard memory is 32K RAM, optionally expandable to 96K RAM.
The 32K of RAM represents approximately 300 records, with a total of 1300
records available if configured with 96K of RAM. The RAM is non-volatile,
with 168 hour (1 week) battery backup.
There are two displays. An eight digit vacuum fluorescent
numeric display with 0.5" (12.5 mm) characters and a 16 character
vacuum fluorescent alphanumeric display with 0.2" (5.0 mm)
characters.
The 60 position keyboard includes upper case alpha, numeric, 10
dedicated function keys, 10 programmable function keys, plus decimal
point, backspace and clear entry keys.
A battery maintained time and date for up to two weeks without
external power. The clock can be set for AM/PM or 24 hour time.
Two bi-directional serial communication ports and one parallel
Centronics output port are available. Baud rate is selectable from 300
to 9600. the Centronics port may be used to interface with printers or may
be used to provide 8 TTL output lines and 2 TTL input lines.
A BCD to RS232 converter optionally available to permit
interfacing with TTL devices.
A pulse input up to 48 VDC is also available, to accommodate
conveyor scales.
