The standard truck scale weighbridge is made up of a 10” thick concrete deck structure.  The structure is designed to be utilized in a “shallow pit” or above ground.  The weighbridge comes with a 10-year warranty, load cells are warranted for 2-years.

Quality design is only one step in providing superior product.  “FELPCE” truck scale components are custom built by our union welders and fabricators.  All rebar components are color coded to guarantee they fit together well in the field – no matter where you are located or what language you speak.   As an example, approximately 15 years ago an Egyptian poultry farmer was able to assemble and calibrate this scale without aid from the factory – it is still in operation today.  Freight cost savings to the West coast or overseas are dramatic as three scales (70’x10’ size) can fit on one flatbed truck or a standardized shipping container.

LOAD CELL INFORMATION – Our stainless steel, 66,000 lb-capacity cells are hermetically sealed to IP68 moisture protection standards, including redundant cable entry protection, arc welded gauge cavities and gas purging.  These load cells feature matched outputs and built-in surge protection.  Wear and tear on the load cells is reduced through a unique rocker motion that uses the spherical tops and bottoms of the load cell to automatically return the cell to its upright and centered position.  This rocker design is an ideal way to transmit force to a load cell.  No complex or potentially binding mechanisms are needed around the load cell mounting area – simple bumper assemblies suffice.

 JUNCTION BOXES - Junction boxes and load cells are sealed from the environment, and can be isolated from lightning with optional protective devices for those areas that need them.  All load cell cable is routed through conduit to a single junction box in scales up to 70ft long.

LOAD CELL PROTECTION - With top access to load cells in the “FELPCE” design, the load cells and mount areas can be easily cleaned out in application sites that may have debris, or snow and ice to be removed.  Shallow pit installation is a possibility with this design, although above ground installations are most common with only a 16” scale height.

WARRANTY - Is 10-years on the weighbridge and 2-years on the load cells and mounts.
